Launched in July 2009, VION UK Foodservice has been created to provide a specialist resource to service this significant market sector. The team works closely with all UK Business Units to ensure that a co-ordinated and consistent approach is provided to our customers. These key categories are; sausage and stuffings, burgers and meatballs, bacon and gammon, cooked proteins, fresh meat, pizza bases and garlic bread and a range of imported products from our operations in Germany and the Netherlands.

There are a number of ways in which the Foodservice strategy is focused:

  • Selling and marketing directly to specific end users
  • Supplying direct to wholesalers and distributors with either branded or own label products.  These are then sold on to the food service industry, including airport catering services, hotels and pub groups, cafes, motorway services and a number of restaurant chains.
  • Supplying proteins to food manufacturers for use in their products such as sandwiches, ready meals and pies.
  • Via our two van sales operations - VION Hall’s covering the whole of Scotland and Harris Middlewich in the north west of England.
  • An important and growing part of the Foodservice operation is the VION Snowbird manufacturing facility, located in Enfield, which manufactures a range of cooked frozen sausages, meat balls and stuffings for both manufacturing and the traditional foodservice market.
