VION UK

VION Food Group Ltd, the UK arm of VION N.V., produces and processes high quality beef, lamb, pork, bacon and chicken as well as a wide range of convenience products such as sausages, cooked meats and added value cooked chicken. The UK operation has extensive facilities across the UK from farms and hatcheries to primary production, processing and packing, and supplies products according to customer and market demands. The business is primarily focused on the UK retail market but also includes important foodservice and wholesale clients within its portfolio.

We are passionate about food and farming and our heritage gives VION UK a long-term, sustainable position to manage the supply chain – delivering food security, safety and quality to customers and consumers.

Our head office is in Livingston, Scotland, and we employ approximately 12,500 people at sites across the UK. Our core activities span three Business Units – Red Meat, Pork, and Poultry. In addition, our Added Value operations include an established Pizza manufacturing business, and our Foodservice business - dedicated to effectively serving that market.

VION UK is also home to recognised and award winning brands, including debbie & andrew’s sausages, Case & Son’s Wiltshire cure bacon and ham, Cookstown pork products and royal warrant holder Hall’s, based in Scotland.

The farming heritage of VION runs strongly through our UK operations; we are a leading UK pig producer and almost all of our chickens come from our own farms. In addition, we are partners with major retailers in the development of a number of supply chain schemes to meet anticipated growth in demand for high welfare produce.
